As we reflect on the remarkable journey we’ve taken together with Game X Change, we are filled with immense pride and gratitude. Over the past several years, your unwavering support has helped us achieve milestones that have significantly shaped the gaming and blockchain landscape. Today, after much reflection, we are announcing the difficult decision to wind down our operations. This was not an easy choice, but one made with careful consideration.
A Legacy of Innovation and Industry Impact
Since our inception, Game X Change has always been driven by the desire to innovate. We were the first gaming company to publicly reference the transfer of in-game currency from game to crypto—a groundbreaking achievement that has since influenced the entire industry. We also held patent-pending technology for this innovation, which over the years has been referenced by industry giants such as Sony, Google, TD Bank, Mystical Games, and more.
Our platform has grown to over 300,000+ users, and we were among the first games to integrate in-game currency on both the Apple Store and Google Play. We were also pioneers, being one of the first crypto games to integrate with Steam, offering seamless currency exchange between Steam play and crypto. Additionally, our GXC Rewards app + games garnered over 300,000+ downloads over the first few months of deployment, demonstrating the enthusiasm and support of our amazing community.
Why We’re Moving On
Despite our many accomplishments, shifting market dynamics and the evolving nature of blockchain technology have made it increasingly difficult to continue our operations in a way that aligns with our original vision. This is why we have made the tough decision to wind down, but we do so with deep appreciation for everything we’ve built together.
What This Means for You
Effective November 1st, Game X Change will officially cease all operations, including community channels, socials, support for our platform, in-game currency networks, and NFT marketplace. Users can begin disconnecting wallets and moving/removing any connected assets and game currency off the platform immediately. Please ensure that any assets or currencies connected to the platform after November 1st may be lost, and we encourage you to complete all transactions as soon as possible.
We are committed to providing support through this transition and ensuring the process is as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
