We would like to thank all those who have provided continuous support and combined efforts into bringing the Tap Project and the Tap Platform into the spotlight. The Tap Project has successfully been in development for over 1 year. Throughout, the year the team has expanded, development has grown, and the project has begun to sprout an incredible amount of legs. We have surpassed our project goals and continue to break new ground and territory.
As of today, there are more than 700 Tap Coin wallets and over 300 Tap platform users and over 4000+ (and growing) community members. As the Tap Platform continues to establish itself, the team is confident that it will grow organically and its users will compound with each year. Each day we continue to make leaps and bounds and continue to surpass other teams and companies in the blockchain gaming space. We continue to receive amazing feedback from game developers as they seek other traditional avenues and look to blockchain integration and additional revenue streams. Throughout 2018, we have seen the launch of the Tap Platform, Tap Wallet, Tap Publisher/Sandbox Environments, Tap SDK Plugins for both Unity and Unreal game engines and the release of Stunt Runner for iOS and Android. Additionally, we have been accepted as a member of the Ethereum Alliance, International Game Developers Association, and have made numerous showings at Full Indie Summits, Vantech Networks and events throughout BC, Canada. With continued exposure it is our belief that the Tap Community will see an ever evolving amount of developers that will choose to integrate with the Tap Platform and integrate both new and old games with the Tap Plugin SDK.
The Tap Project continues to be a beacon for new game development and blockchain traction and integration. Its blockchain solution seeks to solve the issue of gaming retention and engagement by taking advantage of in-game virtual currencies and connecting them across multi-platforms and games. The Tap Platform uses blockchain and smart contract technology to provide a decentralized approach to connectivity, tracking, security and distribution.
The Tap Project vision is to integrate a network of games and developers that push the boundaries of universal gaming and multi-platform play. The Tap Project was and is driven by the community and by those who have supported the project from the beginning. From the beginning of the project, we have always preached about the notions of development and product first. Without the initial sponsorship, trust and support it definitely would not be possible for the project to exist and be where we are today. At the start of our project, we were the first blockchain gaming based token in development and broke the ground for the current space. We believe it is important to do what we can in good faith to ensure that the Project can survive as long as possible and has the greatest chance for success. Therefore, we have officially decided to launch the Tap Coin Sponsor Program, designed to give back to those that had supported the project from its initial state. This is a unprecedented move in the space and believe that this will provide further benefit, for both new and old members in the blockchain space. The sponsor program will commence immediately, and those who supported the Tap Project from its initial stage, will receive a return in the amount of ETH that was not used for the development of the project during the developmental cycle of 2018. Although this has never been done, we look to provide greater change for the space in itself.
The program is designed to reach all those who participated from the beginning and will issue a giveback of the remainder of the funds(to the INITIAL wallets) that were not used for development. The sponsor will begin in approximately two weeks and all initial ETH wallets will be compensated. We are providing participants enough time to ensure that they still have access to their initial wallets prior to sponsor. If there is any confusion or concern about access to the initial ETH wallet, we encourage those to contact the team at contact@tapproject.net PRIOR to the deadline of December 18th.
Be not confused, the Tap Project will continue to grow and develop but without the pressing restraints of the current blockchain funding environment and stigma. It is with that reason that we can excitedly announce that we are seeking further traditional forms of funding and raise and have begun the process of starting an Equity Crowdsale and Venture Program and look to conduct and complete both in 2019! This will provide the Tap Project a great opportunity to succeed and be amongst the greatest gaming iniatives and projects to this date. We are extremely excited about what this means for the project and know that this provides the project the best chance for success, integration and traction in 2019 and the years ahead.
