We recently completed an AMA with The Crypto Roundtable on discord. We thought we would put together the questions and answers that we received during the AMA. We would like to thank 🦄 TheCryptoCorn 🦄 for opening her discord group to the team

How do you plan to market your product/coin.

Answer: — Currently, we have 25% of our funds going towards Marketing and Development of the Coin and Product. With traditional marketing and new forms of growth hacking, we will be marketing the coin to the crypto and mainstream audiences. We have already began marketing and Indie Game conferences, Unreal Dev meets, booth set ups at conventions Online forms of social media (twitter, instagram, facebook, youtube). The use of influencers and Venture firms. One of the things we are building is an education package for the main stream and developers because we find we can spend a little time just educating those who are unaware.

What kind of gaming markets are you going to focus on (PC, mobile, console / MMO, sports, fantasy, RPG, FPS, etc)?

Answer: — At this moment, we are focusing on a wide range and variety of games. From Indie all the way to AAA. Our goal to have a wide variety and genre on our platform for everyone to play.

Is there a working product right now or is there plans to incorporate your coin into a game?

Answer: — Yes, we have a conceptual alpha out at platform.tapproject.net where users can test out, requested games, or games we have spoken to developers about. This platform has a live working Tap Algorithm Matrix that will show you the exact TPP and TEP users will receive.

Do you plan on hosting your own gaming competitions?

Answer: — Definitely, we are all gamers first and pride ourselves on that as well! We will do plan on sponsoring a Team to represent during e-sports tournaments

Is there a demo video or mockup of a working example of how your system will work?

Answer: — Yes a conceptual alpha at platform.tapproject.net

Do you see any other current coins as a competitor in your space? If so, who and how do you plan to stay completive with them?

Answer: — We don’t see them as exact competitors to our space. Yes, they are in the gaming space but we are the only and the original team to focus on turning in game digital currency to Tap Coins. We additionally, plan on working with our competitors by establishing what we will call the BGI, blockchain gaming initiative.

What kind of platform account security do you provide?

Answer: The platform uses a password hashing library with elixir, and it supports the standard sha512 and sha256 algorithms

Have you had any interest from currently developers, if so without giving any names (NDAs in mind) could you give as an idea on what type of game companies have approached you / have you approached?

Answer: — We’ve had a large amount of support and interest from current game developers and publishers. Some of the ones that have approached us are, MOBA’s, Indie studios that range from Mobile hack and slash, build em, or simulators. Additionally, we’ve had response from Racing games, fighting games, and PC steam developers

Additionally are those developers mainly pc focused or console driven?

Answer: — As of right now we have had a good variety of all platforms. I will say we have had more interest in the PC/Mobile space but we have spoken to a publishers that has a couple games out for Xbox and Ps4.

As an investor, what incentive is there for owning the coin — how is the price driven if users can so easily earn coins while playing?

Answer: — As for owning the coin, users require to hold 5000 TTT to use the platform and gain access to it games. Additionally, if users hold over 250K they receive a .25% daily drip bonus from the platform as well. Those that contributed during the early contribution have been grandfathered into a 1 year .10% daily drip bonus. We have brought this method and classify it as our Proof of Stake concept.

I may be uninformed, but how would you handle any fraudulent activity? Example being, someone logs onto my account on the platform and gifts my (TTT) or games to other people.

Answer: During the registration process, users will be linking their tap profile accounts to their wallet address on the blockchain. This process will be non-reversible. So this eliminate any one from logging into the account and changing the address again. All tap going into and out of the account will use that user’s wallet address. With that being said, if you make a mistake and input the wrong address as the beginning, you’ll have to roach that tap profile, but like any system, the user must always take care in safe guarding their passwords and info. The platform will handle the digital security, but it can only do so much”

Answer: We plan on hitting some of the biggest e-sports leagues, the team prides itself on hitting big marks no matter the challenge. So we will be looking at hitting LOL leagues, Overwatch Leagues, Call of duty invitational and more

Do you have any plans to prevent bots from farming tokens? It seems like some games you’d partner with would inevitably be exploitable and easier to farm tokens than others and a few bots could acquire huge portions of tokens creating a market imbalance. Furthermore partnering with big developers will be challenging, when companies like EA are already creating ecosystems to avoid having to pay the 25–30% fee to a platform like Steam or PSN/XBL do you think your plans are sufficient to bridge the gap?

Answer: Similar to the google playstore or apple store, we’ll have a review process for games before they are added to the platform. This protects our users and the other developer’s games from this type of scenario. Unfortunately, it will be a cat and mouse game against bots for games, we can’t prevent bots in games as that’s up to the publishers/developers…but we have an import/export limit that will slow this process down and give us time to flag games. We’ll also be relying on users and other publishers to help identify over ‘botted” games. With the import and export limit, this means that someone can’t completely flood a game and then use those proceeds to rip apart another game”

Answer: True big AAA publishers are creating their own ecosystem, but the fundamental problem, is that it will only be for their games only, where we want to traverse any game any platform

How reliant is the project, on big gaming companies accepting and adopting this system?

Answer: — So we have one major incentive for big gaming companies to join our platform. When we looked at it we had to say, what do they want? We will be able to offer them marketing and listing, security of the blockchain, innovation from new tech and crypto but one of our biggest for BIG AAA publishers is our transactional revenue profits. AAA games will be able to receive splits upwards of 65% and 75% going straight into their pockets using our transactional base system. For example, If a game has 10 million digital <> Tap conversions in a month they can receive upwards of 75Million tap Coins into their reservoir as profit. To avoid developer congestion, these will be purchased back from the reservoir and the developers will receive the funds and the tap will go back into the system to be earned in their games.

What companies if any have come aboard to support this project?

Answer: — MOBA’s, Indie studios that range from Mobile hack and slash, build em, or simulators. Additionally, we’ve had response from Racing games, fighting games, and PC steam developers

Since transactions will be made in crypto currency and split between the products owner and you, how will your platform handle any kind of refunding?

Answer: — Our goal of our transactional revenue matrix is to have a self-serving organism that operates truly decentralized and by itself. Within some cased 65/35/10 (Developer/Tap Team/FEE). I’m unsure what is meant by refunding? if it will be refund to gamers or developers?

Assuming these people know nothing about cryptocurrency. How would your average gamer, with variety of ages, join in on this system once its taken root?

Answer:- Using our programmed plugin, each gamer that is playing a game that is on the platform will receive a platform connection #. A button will be integrating into the current games that advise the user that they have the ability to earn money (Tap Coins) for playing the game. They will use that platform connection # and sign up to the platform. Once that is done then there gamer Tag/ name/username/ ID is linked to their wallet address that they provide. But yes, it will be possible for those that have no interest in crypto to continue playing their game without ever integrating.

A lot of gamers, companies, and communities consider this type of system as cheating or game changing to certain genres. How do you plan to approach this subject, or do you think this type of system isn’t viable for EVERY game out there?

Answer: — Yes, this system is not viable for every game out there. Right now, our matrix only computes to games that have a “store” or a premium (Fiat) currency going into that game. Games that are strictly, point based or “die and lose your points” based games will not compute. To combat the “cheating aspect” we have integrated export and import limits into games. SO users will not be able to import thousands of TTT into a game, thus breaking the game. They will be able to receive a slight benefit enough to make you feel rewarded but definitely not enough to break the game. That was one of the concerns from developers, because when it comes down to it they want users to play their game for hours and days on end.

What kind of experience do you have as a gamer?

Answer: — oh man, FAVORITE QUESTION! great question. Well, I currently own a nintendo (NES) original, super nintendo sega Genesis, Sega Dream cast, playstation 1, playstation 2, playstation 3, playstation 4, xbox original, xbox one, PC, gameboys. And hundreds of games. Have experience in multi tournaments, gamebattles, and hosting as well. I’ve probably played millions of hours, playing video games lol.

Do you have any other stakes or investments in the gaming community currently besides the TapProject?

Answer: — Not providing my exacts, but yes, we do have some stakes in the gaming/crypto gaming community. We do not own any gaming companies, but we are quite involved.

Do you have other avenues to pursue in case the gaming companies you’re working with decide to go another route?

Answer: — We will continue to pursue additional companies, and sources. We plan on mergers and acquisitions of future companies as well. To ensure that we can also produce games and platforms.

What legality issues do you have to face in coordination with the games you wish to represent?

Answer: — We have had to make an effort to avoid games that may involve gambling (meaning gambling sites, mobile casino games). There are gambling laws that surround these areas and we are required to stay away. Other than that since we are developing a plugin there are very few issues we may run into.

Have you considered implementing platforms that allow for trading ttt for skins on a p2p basis? games and platforms.

Answer: — At this current space, we are have not focused on other platforms that allow for trading skins, there are a few that have focused on this and we have not made that jump. However, this may be something we look at during acquisitions and mergers.

Assuming these people know nothing about cryptocurrency. How would your average gamer, with variety of ages, join in on this system once its taken root?

Answer: Great question! The thing is with most blockchain projects currently out there, there’s a certain level of knowledge that’s required, it’s sort of par for the course…but we try our best to limit the learning curve. You need to understand wallets, how to send & receive (basic transactions stuff) and that’s pretty much all for the platform. If you want to get more advanced, like exchanging and trading, that’s outside of the platform…and I suspect most will take those steps as cryptocurrency is in everyone’s face these days…lol

A lot of gamers, companies, and communities consider this type of system as cheating or game changing to certain genres. How do you plan to approach this subject, or do you think this type of system isn’t viable for EVERY game out there?

Answer: Correct! Not EVERY game out there is a right fit and we’ve had to tell some devs that. As for cheating or game changing, we’ve gotten a totally different reception, most publishers and developers that we’ve spoke to see this as how gaming should have started out (mostly because they are die hard gamers themselves)…the main question they tend to as is “what’s in it for me?” and with the possibility of create another revenue stream for their games, we think we’ve answered it enough to spike their interest even more

Hello TAP. I would like to know more information about the daily drip bonus. I saw some numbers is the WP stating that holding 250,000 would give a monthly drip around 524$ where does these number come from?

Answer: The numbers come from the thought of “how many users can be sustained and how many transactions are required to sustain the system” . So a bonus of .25% daily for those that hold over 250k was the current numbers to sustain the system. The system will run off a transaction revenue similar to “gas” that will be put back into a reservoir and used to fund the system

To further explain — is there an issue w/ paying people to play games, internationally and locally, due to taxes, etc…

Answer: At this point there is nothing that we are running into that restricts us from this, we are currently speaking to our securities commission and they will be doing a finding on our project. We are running similar to a “rewards” system where you “exchange” a product for something else. The only legality that we may run into is if we focus on exchanges primarily then we will be deemed a security.

Just a quick question, do you have plans to add discord, twitter and other social bots for “tipping” or otherwise sending TTT to other users?

Answer: This is actually on the “wish list’ in our dev cycle, as it was suggested by one of our members. If the demand is high, then who’s to say that it won’t make it to the “working on” list”

To elaborate on my question about refunding. If someone were to mistakenly buy the wrong game (or something of this nature). How would a customer using your platform receive a refund? Is something like that possible?

Answer: We don’t actually handle any purchasing of games though the platform, we provide a link or connection to the original purchase locations. This way we aren’t in direct competition with any market place like steam, google playstore, etc…those guys already have that market locked down. It would be a losing battle, so instead we look to run alongside them
