The NFT Craze Continues and How to Make NFT’s and Blockchain Gaming Accessible for Everyone
Recap of Episode 5 — Listen Now
Tap Brother’s Hard at Work!
The Tap Bro’s, Hugh and Haniff, suited up and zinged off another podcast just this week. Here are the Cole’s notes version of “Ep.5: The NFT Craze Continue and How to Make NFT’s and Blockchain Gaming Accessible for Everyone”.
Market Minute-everyone watched as the Ethereum market double topped mid Feb and is now in a bit small down trend. Is this a correction-only time will tell!
A first Community Call happened on Discord with one on one audio chat between Hugh and Haniff speaking directly with the community and answering questions! Keep your eyes open for the next one. Wish to join Tap Project on Discord and get the low down?
On an earlier pod (Episode 2) Hugh and Haniff predicted that NFT’s would become the buzz word and how right they were! It is everywhere. Looking for the sexy name for NFTs? I have heard it called “nifties”. Did you know that Beeple sold an NFT for over $69M?
There is a want, need and curiosity for NFTs and this is just the beginning. Gaming is not far behind in using NFTs in multiverses and making assets convert to NFTs. The game changer for NFTs would be when you are playing a game, you get an NFT, it is seamless, and it just appears in your wallet! Hugh calling it again?
To improve upon the world of NFTs and to make them fully catch on they must be easy for people to use, fewer steps, and more intrinsic. It should be just part of the process such that you earn an NFT, it gets it you to your next state, and you continue with your game. Wouldn’t it be nice if the game could give you an alert that, “all your items are NFTs”, and then check in the wallet from time to time? Have a game that says, “NFT Compatible”- would be awesome. Think on that developers! It really would be a game changer.
Do you still think of your Bitcoin in US$ or BTC themselves or Ethereum are you thinking Eth as Eth? We are seeing more in the industry where people are thinking in terms of Eth and not doing the conversion in their heads. Perhaps we would see this the same way in a couple of years for certain types of NFTs.
Possible added use case of NFTs, as discussed by Haniff, was a suggestion of a complete SimCity NFT platform! Where all the items are NFTs and runs exactly like NFTs. Already are others starting to take on this idea- Decentraland? So many possibilities.
NFTs have already been picked up in the sporting industry but not as much in the Esports industry. Who would have guessed? It was thought that this would be a natural progression with egamers, tournaments, and teams, and it most likely will be. Perhaps the lag is due to Esports is due to being new in the sporting industry vs the sports that is large and has centralized bodies such as FIFA for soccer and so forth. Could Call of Duty, as the publisher, take on this role? Decentralized development approach for developers?
